TERMS & CONDITIONS
COVID-19 UPDATE
Due to state wide COVID-19 restrictions, for the safety of our clients and team members, limited booking hours are available for recording sessions. Session dates & times are now first-come, first-serve and will not be held for any longer than 24hrs from the time a payment invoice is sent. In order to maintain safe social distancing practices, we ask that clients limit their non-recording party to a maximum of 2 people. Any individual(s) attending a session who are showing symptoms of being sick (artist or their attending party) will be asked to leave and to reschedule their session at least 14 days out.
STUDIO TOURS
Studio tours are available by appointment only through the Contact page.
STUDIO TIME
Studio time starts and ends at the scheduled time. Client lateness is not prorated. Early arrival will not result in additional unpaid studio time. Be courteous to other Clients and Studio bookings.
Studio Time; session prep, setup & tear down, tracking, editing, and data transfer (including email downloads, dropbox, wetransfer, etc.)
Mixing & Mastering is not included in standard studio session time including (but not limited to) any block hours. All post tracking/recording services such as Post-Production, Post-Editing, Mixing & Mastering must be booked accordingly unless otherwise agreed upon in advance with the Studio’s booking department in a custom project quote.
Clients are advised to bring a mobile storage device with any needed media to the session as this will reduce any data transfer time.
Any media resulting in the need to “rip” audio online (YouTube beat, etc) are subject to a flat rate of $10 per audio file. Time required to “rip” said media is not prorated, no exceptions.
Last minute SAME DAY sessions are available for a premium hourly rate so long as a Studio engineer is available.
PAYMENT & CANCELLATION
Advance payment-in-full is required in order for any studio session or service to be booked (with the exception of any remote post-editing/post-production services). All booked sessions and services are non-refundable, in the event a studio session is cancelled or needing to be rescheduled by the Client within 48 hours of the scheduled session, the payment will be credited 1 Time towards a future session. Any additional cancellations by the Client will result in a forfeit of payment for session booked. Any studio session cancelled with less than 48 hours notice, or are considered to be a “No Show” will forfeit the session payment. A “No Show” is determined after being 30 minutes late for any studio session without an attempt of contact from the Client and as such will result in the cancellation of that studio session.
RELEASE & STORAGE
All media remains the property of the Studio until all balance due is paid-in-full, no exceptions. No in-progress mixes will be given until all balance due is paid-in-full.
Mixes and Masters will be sent electronically, if requesting a CD the Client must provide the adequate CD-Rs. CD-RWs will not be accepted.
Additional mix versions (radio edit, instrumental, etc.) or stem bounce down requests must be scheduled accordingly. Any media remaining on the property will be held for no more than 60 days after completion of service. Client is to provide a means of storage if requesting the raw data. Any session projects will be zeroed out, no full session data will be made available. Any data transfer to will be subject to the Studio’s hourly rate. The Client will be notified once the transfer has completed and will be emailed an invoice for the service(s), media will be released upon receiving a cleared payment and the balance is considered to be paid-in-full. The Studio is not responsible for any media lost on Studio drives once a session and/or service has been completed.
SMOKING
Smoking is prohibited in the studio rooms. Smoking may be done in a location specified by the Studio.
Policy does not apply to vape products, please vape respectfully and not around any Studio equipment.
LIABILITY
The Studio is not responsible for any service interruptions or delays including (but is not limited to) utility outages, fire, flood, acts of God, war, civil disturbance or industrial action.
PERSONAL PROPERTY & EQUIPMENT
Any Studio equipment damaged by the Client or their attending party will be repaired or replaced at the cost of the Client and will be billed accordingly. No media / mixes / masters will be released if a damage balance is due even if the studio service is paid-in-full, no exceptions. The Studio may require additional collateral until a damage balance is paid-in-full.
The Studio is not responsible for any loss or damage of the Client’s (or their attending party) personal property or equipment left on the premises.
These Terms & Conditions are subject to change at any time without notice. Any payment made confirms agreement to all terms & conditions set by Weird Music Studios.
